Wednesday of Outdoor Survival Week

It has been a GORGEOUS day at CYC and everyone was excited and busy with activities!

We started out day with breakfast oatmeal and yogurt with fruit the ‘C’ of the day in holy ground was Christ and then cabins headed to cabin activities where they boated shot archery did arts and crafts and other great camp activities.

After fish sticks and macaroni and cheese lunch and rest time campers headed to activities to swim play sports do arts and crafts cook canoe fish dance and act. It was a perfect sunny day and activities were in full swing.

CYC is not just a community that PLAYS together we are a community that PRAYS together. This afternoon we welcomed Father Mike Anderson to celebrate Mass with us.

Dinner was hot turkey sandwiches and mashed potatoes and then it was time for another fun theme activity! Eagles Nest is a favorite camp game that divides camp in half to compete to try to be the team to grab all the playground balls to their side before the other team. If you get tagged you end up in jail. Very fun!

Our campers have the most energy because even after an intense game they still have enough energy for the fantastic dance party! Everyone will be busting out their best dance moves tonight!!

It’s been a busy day and there’s more fun to come!

"What camp means to me is learning about God, making friends and having fun. But the most important thing is being yourself. We have lots of fun at camp. The counselors are great, the friends are nice, the themes are awesome, and the games rule! When I grow too old to come to camp I want to be a camp counselor, but for now, I will enjoy the fun at camp. See you this year!" - Josh
