Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways that individuals or groups can get involved with CYC.

Host Party
Host a CYC recruiting party in your home. Invite friends neighbors or other parents who are interested in learning more about CYC. A CYC staff member will come to the party show a dvd provide information about camp and answers questions about why CYC is a great camp. Call or email to set up a party!

Care Packages
Each summer we have over 200 kids come to camp on full or partial scholarship. While camp is paid for they need supplies such as sleeping bags flashlights travel toiletries money for the camp store etc. This is a great large or small group opportunity. We will provide the care package check list and we encourage groups to personalize with a letter to the camper or a unique welcome gift.

Sponsor a Camper
The philosophy of CYC is that no child will ever be turned away from camp for financial reasons. The reality is that each year more and more families are seeking financial assistance. You can help us ensure that no child is turned away. Help us send us a kid to camp by covering the camp fee $350 transportation fee $70 and camp store $10.

Work Weekend (Fall & Spring)

Groups are welcome to schedule a work weekend during the Fall or Spring. Groups will stay at CYC and help work on projects around camp such as painting cleaning winterizing (in the Fall) or helping prepare for the Summer (in the Spring).

Major Projects
One youth group adopted CYC and each year provides a major project for the camp. Most recently this group built new bunk bed frames for the camp. Through a generous donation of materials the group worked at their parish building the components. The components were delivered to camp where the group spent a weekend completing the assembly process. Projects can be as large or small as you would like to take on.

For details on any of these items or an idea of your own please contact Executive Director Natalie King.

"CYC is a great place to have fun, make friends, and share your faith. At camp, you can make a new friend almost anywhere like during activities, around the campfire, or in your cabin. If you get homesick, you’ll have nice friends and understanding counselors to help you out. You won’t need to worry about it too much because you’ll be having fun all day. No matter where you are, fishing, swimming, or playing soccer, you’ll be having a great time. CYC rocks!" - Joe
