Thursday of Fun With Food

Our last full day of camp was possibly the best yet! What a great day!!

Breakfast was breakfast sandwiches and then it was time for morning chapel. Our ‘C’ of the day was community- which is fitting because throughout the week we’ve been using all of the C’s to build an awesome fun respectful encouraging community. CYC is definitely the best place to be because of our community. Lunch was chicken tenders and tater tots (another camp favorite!)

Our morning all camp activity was food stations- campers balanced a oreo cookie on their face and raced to get it from their forehead into the mouth without touching it or dropping it. They balanced mini marshmallows on popsicle sticks they used straws to move M&Ms they stacked smarties with their eyes closed. We have some pretty talented campers and there was a lot of laughing as they competed in such intense games!

Activities were in full swing. The dance and drama groups were busy rehearsing and perfecting their acts for the big show canoers were enjoying a long paddle on the lake campfire cooking made banana boats (banana with lots of yummy toppings baked over the fire) arts and crafts made string bowls fishing was out on the boat looking for the hot spots and archery was hitting those bulls eyes.

Dinner was super nachos and then it was time for a little cabin free time. Some cabins were getting ready for the talent show some were playing speedball some played volleyball but all were excited for the upcoming talent show.

And what a show it was! We have the most talented campers around and the Thursday talent show was proof of that! It was a great show with lots of laughs and much entertainment. There were skits singing counselor acts several cabins performed and the LITs made us laugh with two different acts.

Whew! What a great final full day of camp! We look forward to seeing the parents who are coming to our closing program tomorrow (which will begin at 1:15pm). Thank you for leaving your pets at home.

If your child is riding the bus you can expect to see them around 5pm in Roseville (2233 Hamline Ave Roseville MN 55113- outisde the Roseville Professional Center).

"I love how every night we do devotions. And Sunset beach is the best place to hang out, and our cabins are very awesome too!!! Sweeney is very fun. We always have the dance party there, which is my favorite thing. They always have fun activities and we always like doing them." - Isabel
