Thursday of All Stars!

Our last full day of camp was possibly the best yet! What a great day!!

Breakfast was omelets and fruit (yum!) and then it was time for morning chapel. Our ‘C’ of the day was community- which is fitting because throughout the week we’ve been using all of the C’s to build an awesome fun respectful encouraging community. CYC is definitely the best place to be because of our community. Lunch was hot dogs and mac & cheese (another camp favorite!)

Our morning all camp activity was making rainbow bubble snakes which included building a contraption that squeezed out lots of bubbles. Check out the directions here- http://www.housingaforest.com/rainbow-bubble-snakes/#_a5y_p=1528606

Activities were in full swing yesterday. The dance drama and choir groups were busy rehearsing and perfecting their acts for the big show canoers were enjoying a long paddle on the lake campfire cooking made banana boats (banana with lots of yummy toppings baked over the fire) arts and crafts made string bowls fishing was out on the boat looking for the hot spots and archery was hitting those bulls eyes.

Dinner was chili and baked potatoes and then it was time for a little cabin free time. Some cabins were getting ready for the talent show some were playing speedball some played volleyball but all were excited for the upcoming talent show.

Before the talent show began Camp Director Natalie made a special announcement. On TUesday campers got to guess if she was going to have a boy or a girl and today she found out. Abby Megan and Sean helped her out by tossing bright powder (like from a color run) to announce that in November she’ll be having a BOY! Campers cheered and it was fun to be able to all be excited together!

And then it was time for the show! And what a show it was! We have the most talented campers around and the Thursday talent show was proof of that! Elijah did a drum act Olivia Nariyah and Libby did a dance J2 sung a song several counselors performed we saw two different dances from the dance group two great skits from the drama groups choir performed ‘Amazing Grace’ and "You can’t stop the beat’ and we ended the show with all of the counselors performing a song. It was a crowd stopper!

"Not once did I EVER hear put downs. And CYC is the best camp to be at!!! And I bet this year will be even better." - Isabel
