Superhero Monday!

Fun in the sun with our SUPER campers!

We began the day (after breakfast flag raising and morning chapel) with cabin activities- some cabins were canoeing some were orienteering some were fishing… everyone was busy! Cabins were also busy creating their superhero costumes and personas! Masks and capes super powers and more!

On Sunday campers get to sign up for three individual activities that they get to do each day. Today was the first day of individual activities- archery/tomahawks/slingshots fishing canoe/kayak arts and crafts swimming dance drama and sports are keeping kids super busy today! We are having so much fun and this week is already filled with lots of enthusiastic and spirited campers!

In the afternoon groups created team flags and worked on their cheers and handshakes while also going to the art barn to tie dye their tee shirts!

Delicious dinner praise and worship (evening chapel) and more cabin activities were next on the list. And then it came time for ANGELS AND DEMONS!!!!

Angels and Demons is a CYC FAVORITE! Angels are stationed around the woods and campers must run to each one get a signature and then run back to put the paper in their team bucket. Whichever team has the most points wins! However there are some scary demons lurking in the forest (don’t worry it’s just the counselors!). If they tag you you have to give up your paper and start over. So campers must be clever quick and run fast! It is intense and very fun!

A great first full day and so much more fun to come!!!!!! Be sure to check out the link at the top of our website (cycamp.org) k to view photos or go directly to the link http://www.bunk1.com/template/login.asp?origin=/template/community.asp&form_camp_id=9313.
