Outta This World Thursday!

 Another FABULOUS day at CYC!

Campers continued to be outta this world by learning about stars constellations and planets first thing this morning. And with the largest star (ie- the sun!) blazing away the next activity of all-camp swim was an obvious choice!

Cabins were filled with spirit singing their cheers and working together to earn spirit points. The cabin spirit award is not a competition between cabins rather awarded to the cabin that uses the 5 C’s (courage charity cooperation community and Christ) the most often. This week is going to be a tough decision because EVERY cabin is doing an amazing job and could be the winner!

Afternoon activities were busy as always! Drama was finishing up final preparation for the talent show. Arts and crafts was putting finishing touches on the beautiful projects they’ve been working on this week. Canoers and kayakers were learning parts of a paddle and boat throwers were perfecting their aim and so on!

After dinner cabin time and praise and worship everyone headed to the Friendship Circle for the TALENT SHOW! It is well known the CYC attracts the MOST talented campers around and this week was no different! There were singers skits hilarious jokes a magic act and a hilariously messy skit by the counselors. We’re thinking about selling tickets next year because Broadway has nothing on us!

Now it’s off to bed for one last night of sleep here at camp. We don’t want the week to end but we still have tomorrow (and there is plenty of fun planned!).

"What camp means to me is learning about God, making friends and having fun. But the most important thing is being yourself. We have lots of fun at camp. The counselors are great, the friends are nice, the themes are awesome, and the games rule! When I grow too old to come to camp I want to be a camp counselor, but for now, I will enjoy the fun at camp. See you this year!" - Josh
