Birthday Bash Wednesday
Birthday Bash Wednesday was full of messy activities. Our campers spent the morning at the mud pit! While that may sound gross, our campers loved it! At the mud pit, cabins played many games of tug-of-war against one another. The mud pit was located right in the center of the rope, so that the losing cabin got the treat of being pulled into the mud. After games of tug-a-war ceased, the campers took turns jumping into the mud pit, rolling around and swimming through until they had collected the perfect amount of mud. After their last jumps into the pit, we all headed down to the lake to wash off before changing for lunch.
The afternoon was filled with individual activities. In each activity, our campers are getting better and better! Tomahawks are sticking into the board and arrows are landing closer and closer to the bullseye. Our paddlers are getting more skilled with their strokes, steering and moving much more quickly. The rack in our art hall is full of drying masterpieces.
Following dinner, our campers danced and hung out on the deck during our all-camp dance party. They danced out all of their energy before heading down to the chapel to end the day in Praise and Worship. Beautiful voices filled camp this evening as our campers offered up praises before the tabernacle. It’s been another wonderful day at Catholic Youth Camp, and we can’t wait for another one tomorrow.
