Tuesday of Rocking Beach Party Week

Today was such a great day!

We began the day with polar bear plunge and then it was time for breakfast (pancake on a stick with and sausage).  Morning chapel was next (charity was the ‘C’ of the day) and then two hours of cabin activities. Cabins were canoeing, playing sports, working on arts and crafts, fishing, and swimming. The weather was perfect all day- not a cloud in the sky which made for a perfect day at camp! Right before lunch, we had our first rocking beach party of the week! We cranked up the music and jumped in to cool off, while some played in the sand. It was a blast!

Lunch was tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, fruit, and salad bar! And then it was off to our cabins for some rest time.

This afternoon was gorgeous sunny and a perfect day for being at camp! Canoers were out and about and drama was getting their act ready for the talent show. Archery was aiming, paddle boarders were paddling, and swimmers were swimming! It was a busy day!

But the fun wasn’t over yet! After beach party, it was time to head to the Friendship Circle for a campfire! We sang tons of songs each cabin performed their cabin cheer and then we made some yummy s’mores! You can find a photo of your camper with their s’more on the photo website that’s updated daily. There were some counselor skits and lots of fun!

After that it was time to raise the roof in praise and worship- singing so loud you could probably hear us across the lake!

It was a great day at camp!!

"What camp means to me is learning about God, making friends and having fun. But the most important thing is being yourself. We have lots of fun at camp. The counselors are great, the friends are nice, the themes are awesome, and the games rule! When I grow too old to come to camp I want to be a camp counselor, but for now, I will enjoy the fun at camp. See you this year!" - Josh
