The goal of the Operation Purple camp program is to give military children tools to help deal with the stresses that result from a parent’s deployment through a memorable camp experience in a “purple” environment. Operation Purple camps are open to military children of all ranks and Services: active and reserve components—and give priority to children whose parents are currently deployed. At Operation Purple camps military children experience an exciting week of outdoor fun and adventure.

Message From the Director

Thank you fro choosing Operation Purple Camp-McGregor! I look forward to meeting your camper(s) and you this summer.

Catholic Youth Camp is proud to host Operation Purple Camp. 2013 will be our fourth year as a host camp and we are honored to be able to offer a quality camping experience to military youth.

Please take a few moments to check out our website. Most of the information is the same for CYC and OPC campers. OPC is a nondenominational program and the ministry aspects of our traditional programming will be replaced by OPC curriculum.

Feel free to email or call me with any questions between now and when your campers are at camp.

I look forward to meeting you and your campers!

Executive Director Catholic Youth Camp

"What camp means to me is learning about God, making friends and having fun. But the most important thing is being yourself. We have lots of fun at camp. The counselors are great, the friends are nice, the themes are awesome, and the games rule! When I grow too old to come to camp I want to be a camp counselor, but for now, I will enjoy the fun at camp. See you this year!" - Josh
