Wednesday of Holiday Week

Another sunny day at CYC!

We started out day with scrambled eggs and bacon the ‘C’ of the day in holy ground was Christ and then cabins headed to first cabin activity where they boated shot archery did arts and crafts and other great camp activities.

Second cabin activity was the fabulous mud pit!! Cabins competed in tug-o-war and then cabin by cabin campers got to jump in the mud pit. Some campers dipped in just a toe and some went in head first! Once campers were covered in mud we headed to the beach to wash off.

All camp theme activity today was Christmas stations! The dining hall had a beautiful Christmas tree that we decorated. Campers sang along to Christmas music decorated xmas cookies played xmas bingo and wrote cabin Christmas songs.

After rib sandwhich and french fry lunch and rest time campers headed to activities to swim play sports do arts and crafts cook canoe fish dance and act. It was a perfect sunny day and activities were in full swing.

Dinner was chicken alfredo and then it was time for another holiday! Cabins are running across camp on a massive scavenger hunt for Easter eggs! There are clues to help them find the eggs and everyone has to work together.

Praise and worship will be after scavenger hunt and then it will be time for the fantastic dance party! Everyone will be busting a move and raising the roof (although the pathfinder girls have helpfully told Director Natalie that raising the roof isn’t really a thing cool people do anymore).

It’s been a busy day and there’s more fun to come!

"What camp means to me is learning about God, making friends and having fun. But the most important thing is being yourself. We have lots of fun at camp. The counselors are great, the friends are nice, the themes are awesome, and the games rule! When I grow too old to come to camp I want to be a camp counselor, but for now, I will enjoy the fun at camp. See you this year!" - Josh
