Wednesday- Christmas

What a busy day at CYC!

We started the day with morning holy ground (our ‘C’ of the day was charity) and first cabin activity cabins headed down to the mud pit for tug-o-war! The B2 girls are STRONG and they won the tournament. After tug-o-war cabins took turns jumping in the mid. A lot of campers went in face first this week and counselor Moses even did a flip! Afterwards we ran down to the beach to wash off.

During all camp theme activity time cabins were each assigned a traditional Christmas carol and also a style of music (rap opera jamican pop and Taylor Swift style country). Cabins had to sing the songs in the style of music they drew out of a hat. You should have seen our 7 year old girls rap and our pathfinder boys sing in opera style!

Lunch was corn dogs and macaroni and cheese and birthday cake for Grace B’s birthday!

Afternoon activities were in full swing today! The art group was busy with clay sculptures the canoe/kayak group played "follow the leader" around the lake and worked on improving their strokes the fishing group didn’t catch any fish but they played a great game of fish trivia while on the boat waiting for fish. The dance group worked on their routine for the talent show and campfire cooking made bread in a dutch oven over the campfire!

After dinner (chicken a la king!) and a little bit of cabin free time we turned on the disco ball blasted the music and let loose at the FABULOUS dance party! And you better believe these kids can dance!
