CYC is exited that you are interested in serving as part of the team. We have established an on-line application process. This simple format will walk you through step by step. If at anytime you have a question, don't hesitate to call or email us with questions. Thanks again for applying and we look forward to speaking with you soon.
CYC is nearly surrounded by the waters of Big Sandy Lake as it is located on the point of a peninsula jutting in the lake. It can house 150 campers each week in its 12 cabins. In addition to the camper cabins, the camp consists of seven buildings for staff housing, a recreation hall with attached restroom and shower facilities, an arts and camping building, Tekakwitha Lodge (with beautiful wood floors and mirrors for dance activities), a fully equipped Health Center, and a rustic and historic log-framed building known as Indianpoint Lodge (built in 1923) that overlooks Sunset Beach on Big Sandy Lake. Indianpoint is home to the camp offices, staff work and break areas, and our rustic, log chapel.
In 1997, Sweeney Lodge was completed. Fully winterized, it houses our spacious dining hall, modern kitchen, and the lower level includes restroom and shower facilities for all of our campers and staff. We have completed a winterized cabin that has eight individual bedrooms along with restroom and shower facilities. We are recently completed our new maintenance building allowing us to move our maintenance operations away from camper sleeping and program areas. The camp property includes a sandy swimming beach complete with water slide, a boating bay that allows for a safe and sheltered boating program, a large athletic and soccer field, an archery range, basketball and 4-square courts, and a sand volleyball court. Sunset Beach, located at the tip of the peninsula, overlooks Big Sandy Lake to the west and provides for spectacular sunsets nearly every evening throughout the summer. CYC also owns 100 acres of wilderness on nearby Aitkin Lake. With its trails, tamarack bogs, and stunning views of undeveloped Aitkin Lake, it is used throughout the summer for wilderness overnight camping experiences for many of our campers.
At this time there are no openings. If you would like to apply, and have us hold your application please feel free to do so.
