Explore Your Faith
Have lots of questions about your Faith? You'll have many chances to ask those questions and explore how your faith in God makes your life special. There's daily Morning and Evening Prayer with the whole CYC community and Mass every week! Each evening during cabin devotions, our counselors will listen carefully to what's on your mind. Playing or praying, CYC counselors are there for you!
Swimming
Take the boardwalk across the Boating Bay to our beautiful sandy beach. Build a sand castle on the beach or swim out to the raft with a buddy. Our lifeguards will make sure you have lots of fun and stay safe! If you choose, you'll be able to head to the beach nearly every day!
Boating
We have plenty of canoes and paddle boats for you to try out. Grab a lifejacket and a friend and head out on the smooth waters of our boating bay - it stays calm even on the windiest days! As a cabin group you can even sign up for pontoon tours of Big Sandy Lake!
Arts and Crafts
Our Arts Center is jammed full of activities and materials to make lots of creative items to wear or take home. Tie-dye a t-shirt (or a pair of socks!) or make a friendship bracelet to keep remembering your fantastic summer at CYC!
Field Sports
On our wide-open, grassy athletic field you can play soccer, kickball, ultimate Frisbee or many other outdoor games with all the friends you meet at CYC. Play the games you know and love or sign-up to learn something new. CYC is the place to have fun!
Archery
Whether you love to shoot with a bow or want to learn, our archery instructors will patiently show you how to safely handle and shoot a bow and arrow and give you lots of chances to practice. Our Archery Range is nestled into a wooded hill so that you can safely learn and improve your archery skills.
Morning & Evening Prayer
Start and end each day exploring the theme for the day - such as Making Friends, Respect, Prayer, Thanksgiving, and Celebration. We'll experience songs, skits, and bible verses in our CYC community. Practice living your faith in ways that you can continue when you get home. You'll be amazed how much fun God really can be!
Camp Fires
You'll start and end your session at CYC with a camp fire in our rustic and wooded fire circle. Everyone gets a chance to be involved in songs, skits, games and more as we celebrate our CYC community together.
Music, Dance, and Drama
Even if this is new for you, go ahead and give it a whirl in this laid back and accepting environment. You might just surprise yourself with your undiscovered theatrical talents! This is a good place to try!
