2009 Schedule

2009 Sessions will be separated by age group (based on your child's grade completed in June 2009).

• Settlers (1st, 2nd, 3rd )
• Trailblazers (4th, 5th, 6th)
• Pathfinders (7th, 8th 9th )
• Leaders-in-Training (10th, 11th, 12th)

Each week of camp, CYC will have a different theme, which just adds to the fun and excitement of the weekly camp activities. Feel free to bring your pirate hat or Hawaiian shirt. Parents, please send a set of clothes that can get dirty/sticky/messy/etc.

June 14-19 - “Safari Week”

Take a walk on the wild side… wild side of CYC that is! Get ready to explore the wilderness and be an adventurer. Prepare to have a crazy and exciting week exploring and learning about animals, outdoors and all things wild!

June 21-26 - “Splish Splash Week”

Water games galore! If you like to feel the splash of water on a hot day, this week is for you! Get drenched at CYC!

June 28-July 3 - “Carnival Week”

Games, prizes, popcorn and nonstop fun… sounds like a carnival to us… or just a typical day at CYC. Can you imagine what will happen when the carnival comes to CYC?? You will have to see it to believe it!

July 5-10- “Operation Purple at CYC”

CYC has been chosen to participate in a program through the organization Operation Purple to provide a week of camp to children whose parents are currently serving in the military. During this week, we will offer campers traditional camp activities that CYC is known for, as well as an opportunity to learn more about the military. This week is only available for Operation Purple campers.

July 12-17 - “Ooey Gooey Week”

Get ready for the all-camp jello fight (giant tubs of jello ready to be thrown at your friends and counselors!), making glurch with your cabin, and many other sticky, messy projects that will get your hands dirty and would make your mom cringe!

July 19-24 - “Olympic Week”

Design your cabin flag, tie your shoes and get out to the field for the CYC Olympics. Spend your week competing in a variety of activities, earning points towards gold medals and making memories at CYC!

July 26-31- “CSI Week”

When a crime is committed at CYC, we call in the dedicated camper detectives to solve the mystery. Look for evidence and clues, interview suspects and figure out what it all means!

Aug 2 - 7“Splish Splash Week”

Water games galore! If you like to feel the splash of water on a hot day, this week is for you! Get drenched at CYC!

August 9-14 “Fun With Food Week”

Have you cooked your own dinner over an open fire lately? How about had an all-camp jello fight? What about a pie throwing contest or learned to cook delicious meals with a camp twist? This is just some of the food related fun you will have at CYC this week!

August 16-21 “Holiday Week”

Trick or treating, an Easter egg hunt, putting your shoes out for St. Nick, Caroling around a fire, Valentine’s treats, searching for a groundhog… all of the fun from the holidays you love… in the same week?! Could that level of enjoyment even exist? At CYC it does. So bring your best holiday themed sweaters, er well, tank tops, and let’s celebrate!
